We swapped city life for a few sun-soaked days in Port Aransas, and it was exactly the reset we needed. Our stay at Cinnamon Shore, often called the “30A of Texas," was everything we hoped for and more. Think pastel coastal homes, golf carts cruising along beach paths, and that laid-back vacation routine that makes you forget what day it is. The weather couldn’t have been better, and with summer crowds gone, fall might just be the perfect time to plan your own beach trip.

Where to Stay

Cinnamon Shore checked every box: beach chair and umbrella service, great on-site restaurants, and a true community feel. There are plenty of beautifully maintained rentals to choose from, with easy access to both the beach, pools, and plenty of nearby dining options.

Where to Eat

We started our mornings at Coffee Waves Port A (the croissant breakfast sandwich is a must). For lunch, we grabbed burgers and tiki drinks at Lelo’s Island Bar, while Grumbles Seafood Co. offered waterfront views and casual coastal bites. Stouts at the Shore served up an incredible seafood spread and Dylan’s Pizzeria was perfect for a low-key pizza night for dinner! We also visited Sipyard for a late night drink and loved that they had live music.

Things to Do

Between parasailing with Chute ‘Em Up, spotting dolphins on a sunset cruise with Scarlet Lady Adventures, and wandering through Roberts Point Park, we packed in plenty of fun. We also stopped by Chapel on the Dunes for beautiful pictures and grabbed sweets from the new Sugar Shack in town.

With its scenic shoreline, incredible food, and easygoing vibe, Port Aransas truly lives up to its nickname as the 30A of Texas. It's a coastal escape that feels worlds away but with only a few hour drive from Houston!
