We lost count of how many people stopped to stare when our seafood spread hit the table—and honestly, we can’t blame them. Calliope's just opened a new location near NRG, and it’s bringing all the Cajun comfort food vibes straight from New Orleans to Houston. Think slow-simmered gumbos and étouffées, smothered turkey necks, fried rice, seafood boxes, and more—each bite packed with flavor and soul.

This new spot is casual, cozy, and super convenient with a drive-thru that makes it perfect for a quick lunch run (or when you just can’t wait to get your hands on some crawfish). Everything we tried hit the mark, but the Turkey Neck Craving Box deserves a special shoutout—tender turkey necks served over rice with corn, potato, and egg. The Combination Étouffée (loaded with shrimp and crawfish tails over white rice) was another favorite, rich and comforting.

Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes—you’re definitely getting your money’s worth here. And if you need another excuse to go, they’ve got a solid Happy Hour every day from 3–6 PM featuring buy-one-get-one-half-off daiquiris and $1 off select appetizers and boiling pot items.

If you’re stopping by during the week, don’t miss their $10 Mini Suicide Shrimp Box Lunch Special (available Monday–Thursday from 11 AM–2 PM).

💡 Pro tip: If you order a Po’Boy, ask for their spicy remoulade sauce—it’s next-level addictive. Thank us later. 🍤
