Toyori, located in Houston's Chinatown, is a fantastic spot for fans of both Japanese and Taiwanese cuisine. We visited soon after they first opened, and we were super impressed with their sizzling plates. The flavors are seriously so tasty! 

We recently returned to this cozy, modern eatery to check out their new menu items, and let us start by saying that they are must-tries! We were especially blown away by the new Tonkatsu Beef Rib Ramen, featuring a tender, fall-off-the-bone rib that melts in your mouth. 

If you're dining with friends, start with the Chicken Sauce Fries—perfect for sharing—or opt for something more substantial like the Ribeye & Chicken Mix Sizzling Plate. For a classic rice dish, the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi delivers flavor in every bite.

Of course, we need to mention their mainstays, namely their ramen. We love their Spicy Tan Tan and Spicy Tori-Paitan Ramen, both creamy, delicious, and with just the right amount of heat. In terms of their sizzling plates, don't miss the Signature Rib Eye Steak with Black Pepper and Mushroom Tomato Mixed Sauce for a meal packed with flavor.They also have some other great shareables like the Sweet Chili Chicken Wings, Geso Karaage (fried squid), and Takoyaki (octopus balls) that make for excellent starters or snacks.
