When the Houston heat starts cranking up, few things hit the spot like an ice-cold açaí bowl—and Acai Brasil in Katy hits every time. This spot isn’t your average açaí shop. They’re serving up pure, imported açaí straight from Brazil, and the flavor difference is immediately noticeable. Their base is made with 100% açaí and just a touch of guaraná, giving it a deep, rich taste that’s less sweet and more earthy than most places we’ve tried. It’s refreshing, energizing, and totally crave-worthy. You’ll just have to try it for yourself!

This wasn’t our first time visiting, so we can confidently say they consistently load up on the toppings. Our bowl came piled with fresh strawberries, bananas, granola, and even a drizzle of condensed milk that tied it all together. If you’re in the mood for something a little lighter, their pitaya (dragon fruit) base is a solid pick. It’s vibrant, tropical, and just as beautifully presented. And if you’re in a rush or need something portable, the smoothies are a great grab-and-go option with all the same refreshing flavors.

Another factor that sets Acai Brasil apart is their nod to traditional Brazilian street food. We couldn’t resist ordering the 6-piece combo, and each component was so delicious! It came with risole (fried beef pies), coxinha (fried chicken pies), and pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). The cheese bread was massive and had that perfect chewy interior with a crispy golden shell. We were seriously considering ordering another basket, but they were sold out for the day.

Whether you’re cooling off after a workout or just in the mood for a refreshing treat, this place delivers. Bring a friend, split a bowl, try the street food, and see why Acai Brasil is more than worth the drive to Katy!
