After seeing De Fortune take over our feeds, we finally made the trip to Montrose to see what all the buzz was about. De Fortune leads with a strong visual impression. It’s true what they say: you drink with your eyes first! The vibe is moody and intimate, the cocktails are globally inspired and meticulously crafted, and the interior design is so distinctive, it becomes a conversation starter all on its own.

The space was inspired by the idea of a cave, and that influence is clear the moment you look up. The ceiling is made up of soft, layered curves that feel organic and otherworldly, while the bartop mimics the movement of water. It’s subtle, but so thoughtful—exactly the kind of detail that makes the whole experience feel intentional and elevated. It’s dimly lit and feels like the perfect spot for a first date.

When it comes to the drinks, we were genuinely impressed by the thought and creativity behind each one. The bartenders explained that every cocktail is crafted with different palates in mind, so you're sure to find something that fits your taste. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations—they know their stuff. Our favorite was the Golden Mango, a surprisingly floral cocktail that takes three days to prepare. We also loved the English Rose, made with house-dehydrated strawberries, as well as the Lychee Garden and Guava Collins.

For those who prefer to skip the alcohol, De Fortune has a menu of mocktails that are just as complex and refreshing. They really thought of everyone, which we appreciate.
Just a heads up: there is a dress code here, so come dressed to impress!

If you’re looking for a new spot to sip and unwind, add this one to your list. The drinks, the design, the atmosphere—everything works together to create something special.
