If you’ve been looking for a solid new date night spot—or just a reason to break out of your usual dinner rotation—Koyo Hand Roll Bar should be your next move. Located in Webster, this sleek new hand roll bar is the latest concept from the team behind JW Concepts, and it delivers on both vibes and value. With premium-quality sushi, a beautiful interior, and one of the best deals we’ve seen in a while, it’s absolutely worth the drive.

The star of the show here is their hand roll sets, and there’s no doubt you get bang for your buck. You can choose between three, four, or five rolls for $15, $20, or $25 respectively. Yes, you read that right—five hand rolls for $25, including a fatty tuna roll. That’s a steal for sushi this fresh. The seaweed is served crisp and warm, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and each roll is made right in front of you at the bar, one by one, so they’re always at peak freshness when they hit your plate.

The five-roll set includes Salmon, Fatty Tuna, Crab, Spicy Scallop, and Yellowtail. They were playful with a lot of the rolls, adding their own unique takes with flavorful sauces. We especially loved the fatty tuna—rich, buttery, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. The spicy scallop had just the right amount of heat, and the yellowtail was incredibly clean and fresh.
While the hand rolls are the main event, don’t sleep on the crudo. The salmon crudo was creamy and rich, while the yellowtail crudo leaned light and bright—both excellent complements to the hand rolls and worth adding to your order.

The atmosphere at Koyo is intimate and modern, making it perfect for date night, a low-key celebration, or even a solo sushi fix. We came here and saw several people on a solo lunch sesh, so it’s very chill and inviting.

If you’re looking for high-quality sushi at neighborhood-friendly prices, Koyo Hand Roll Bar nails it!
