Summer in Houston is no joke. When the heat starts to feel like it’s baking us from the inside out, we’re on the hunt for something refreshing that tastes good and feels good. That’s how we found ourselves cooling off at No Forks Acai, a new acai food truck parked in the Heights that’s officially earned a spot in our summer lineup! Between the refreshing taste, generous fruit portions, and creative combos, this spot goes way beyond your average acai bowl.

No Forks Acai doesn’t hold back on the toppings. We tried the “Fork It, It’s My Birthday” bowl, which is exactly as wild and delightful as it sounds. It comes stacked with a colorful mix of fruit, granola, and a birthday cake spread that works. We also tried the “Golden Treasure,” loaded with pineapple, honey, and coconut, and it had that perfect tropical flavor that made us forget, for a second, that we were melting in 100-degree weather.

One thing we really appreciated: they don’t skimp on the fruit. Every bowl felt packed and satisfying, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to cool down and fill up. They’ve also got a build-your-own bowl option so you can mix and match your way to the perfect combo. They even offer kid-sized bowls, which is a smart move for families on the go.

No Forks Acai is exactly the kind of small, local gem we love to support—especially when it delivers on both flavor and vibes. If you’re in the Heights and need a break from the heat, this truck is absolutely worth a stop. Plus, Houston Hotpass members get 10% every visit!
